Everything was delicious! EVERYTHING! The food came out hot and fresh without a long wait. The waitress was sweet, professional, and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and clean. We'll definitely be returning. The smoked catfish dip is amazing. We had to order some to go.

The place reminded me of restaurants I grew up serving soul food. The food did not disappoint! When I say I sufficiently dined on seafood and portions OMG! The server was kind, friendly and thoughtful. I highly recommend this as a place to eat and enjoy!

This was my first time eating at Soul Fish, and I honestly wish I'd gone sooner. While I didn't dine in, I ordered food to-go. The ordering process online was fairly easy. Although they don't let you schedule a pick up for a specific time, it only allows ASAP ordering to be picked up within 10-15 minutes after ordering. Something I didn't mind at all. When I walked in I was greeted with a smile by the hostess, and she guided me to the bar to pick up my order. The servers at the bar were friendly and attentive. Upon getting my order I was surprised that that food was actually HOT and smelled fresh. I highly recommend the fried catfish! It's well seasoned and has the perfect amount of breading with that old fashioned crunch to it. The macaroni and cheese was good. Not out of this world extraordinary, but good! I was surprised with the quality of the greens and hushpuppies as well. Overall, my first visit went beyond my expectations. Spent 21 and some change on this plate, and I don't regret it at all. I'll definitely be back at this location very soon. Well done, Soul Fish!

I patronize all of the Soul Fish locations here in Memphis. The other evening a coworker and I visited the one on Poplar near Colonial. Once we sat down and had our drink order taken, a strange woman appeared from nowhere and was begging for money. I told her that I don't carry cash, sorry. She then approached another table. Instantly, the manager firmly but politely escorted the woman outside while telling her that she couldn't do what she was trying to do. I had never had anything like that happen to me while dining out. The staff did not notice that woman at all. I'm thankful this situation didn't turn out to be dangerous like it could have. It took me a few minutes to calm myself down enough to eat. Fortunately, my meal was delicious and well prepared as usual. I'm probably not going to visit this location anymore. I'll stick to the one on Forest Hill Irene.

Food and service is always good here. They can be crowded at times but they tend to move fast. We tried the smoked catfish dip, our server suggested topping it with the green hot sauce, very good suggestion took the dip to another level, it was just okay without the hot sauce. Our server was very attentive, so sweet and patient. I wanted Blackened Catfish and this did not disappoint, it was soooo good. The catfish is always good here. Another table had the hot wings and they looked very good, so I have to try those next time. Would recommend!

You could never go wrong here. Everyone and everything was great. The smoked catfish dip is my favorite appetizer and I usually get the fried catfish with mac and cheese, turnip greens and cornbread for my entree. Will definitely be a returning customer. In the words of Tabitha Brown very very good
